CHEYENNE (AP) — Wyoming Republican Rep. Liz Cheney has reported a powerful begin to her marketing campaign’s fundraising efforts for the 2022 main election.
She is about to face challengers which have surfaced since her vote to question former President Donald Trump.
The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reported Monday that Cheney raised $1.54 million within the first quarter of 2021, probably the most she has reported in a single quarter in her previous three elections.
Cheney’s closest monetary competitor within the main race is Republican state Sen. Anthony Bouchard, who raised about $334,000 within the first quarter.
